bit about me

I’m the being behind these works, and I gather my inspiration from days of simple living in the Southwest of England finding balance and peace in open spaces and wildlife. I’ve been creative all my life in many ways. For me creativity is not just something you ‘do’ - it’s a lifestyle, when you soul is creative it flows across everything, for me it’s what you do in the daily. Creativity in all forms - cooking a gorgeous meal for loved ones, making a home beautiful, tending a garden from seed to tree, a walking meditation in the woods, forming poetry from a bunch of words and feelings - its not just paint on canvas or words on a page.

I have explored many mediums of my creativity, pyrography on wood and skulls; pottery both wheel and hand sculpting; oil, acrylic, watercolour, charcoal, pencil… i’ve eventually landed on what flows best from my hands which are the ones you see here today. Charcoal and acrylic fusion on prime canvas.

After a period where my creativity wasn’t first in my life, the last few years have really taken me deep again - I have fallen in love with what comes through and how it flows forth - I love what happens to my being when I sense a very powerful energy knocking on the door wanting to come to life before my eyes - the art of even preparing a canvas to be ready is a feeling of peace with excited edges - once it starts flowing - its out of my hands - i’m just the vessel through which it flows and that is a beautiful blessing.
