Badgers are everywhere where I live but hardly seen, and when I am lucky enough to see one, like this little guy who crossed the road in front of me on a late night summer walk, I am reminded how powerful and knowing these shy yet tenacious warriors are - and how deeply loyal the bond is with their mate. It inspired me to paint Nocturnal knowing.
