There is a happy bouncy robin that visits my back garden – through every season but mostly in the winter months when all the other birds have flown. He has learned to trust my presence and that I feed him mealworm seeds – one day he even stopped hopping around his busy world long enough for me to capture his beautiful scarlet song – and thus inspired this painting.
