I wanted to create this after watching rats in my garden and realising they are just busy trying to survive - like us.
Small body, infinite sky. She does not know the names of the stars, she doesn't need to.
In this quiet moment between foraging, small paws in the dirt, eyes wide open, a rat looks up at the Milky Way and feels something ancient and wordless. The same pull that moves oceans and turns seasons moves through her too. Every being on this earth belongs to it. Not by accident. Not despite what we call them - but because that is the way of mother earth.
Beauty is not earned. It simply is.
