Dark queen
There has always been something alluring to me in the way big cats walk and stalk – it’s not their size – it’s the way their might is carried so gently, so silently, like mist through a mountain forest – you don’t know they are there until it’s too late. Dark Queen was pawing softly in my mind for a while until I sat down in front of a canvas meaning to create a bird and then instead, I was creating those amazing eyes - she had stalked my being for a while.
