An earlier version of Ripple - where I was wrapping up a morning walk when a flicker of a shadow across the lake caught me – there she was – not moving, statue-like against the backdrop of water. I stopped for a moment and took it in and made a flashcard of memory so I could sketch the scene – we both stood for a while – in stillness.
